- Finish seeding the cover crop on the garden
- Broad fork and seed the new tree nursery bed
- Work on the fruit tree guilds - more perennials, weeding
- Reseed any areas that need it

- Abenaki garden - prep and sow mixed cover crop on part; select section for potato crop
- Start preparing a Hugel row in Abenaki garden
Tools for both days - Please bring if you can:
- garden fork
- garden rake
- garden shovel
- broadfork
- triangular hoe or other tool for making furrows
- small bucket for seed
- perennial herbs and flowers if you have no snake worms

2022
Organizational Meeting
Monday, 11/14/2022, 5 pm (virtual)
The organizing meeting to hatch a sustainable and regenerative human design plan for this project will be on Monday, 11/14, from 5-6pm. If you have time, interest and availability to help to ensure that this project continues growing into the future, we are looking for people who can commit to semi-regular meetings and can help with planning work parties, fundraising, outreach and education. We will discuss various ways to organize ourselves (please bring ideas!) for the long term success of this project that includes the possibility of hiring a part time coordinator, working with other town committees including the Climate Action group and other parks around town that are also interested in implementing food forests.

The next community work party will be on Saturday, 11/12 from 10-1pm . We will be putting fencing and tree protectors around the pears and peaches and generally having a great time! All are welcome and please spread the word!

Phase 2 Spring Tree Planting 2022

We planted 5 Bartlett and Clapp's pear trees, 2 Bailey Hardy and 1 Early RedHaven peach trees,
3 hawthorn trees, 6 Jefferson hazelnuts, and 9 Mossbarger & Gideon chestnuts.
2021
Phase 1 Fall Guild Planting 2021
Saturday, October 16th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon
We planted yarrow, lamium or dead nettle, lady's mantle, forget-me-nots, violets, strawberries, oregano,
thyme, and bulbs around the three plum trees.
Phase 1 Tree Planting 2021
Saturday, September 18th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon
We planted plum trees, butternuts, burr oaks, basswood, and chestnuts.
